Pokemon Platinum- Battle Frontier - 8/10

The Battle Frontier! Yes, that's right, it's that magical place that you can visit as soon as you finish the Pokemon leage. It's filled with 5 fun, challenging and exciting places known as the Battle Tower, the Battle Arcade, the Battle Factory, The Battle Castle and of course the Battle Hall.

It all started back in pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, when the Battle tower was first unveiled. The battle tower consisted of of a single battle, double and even multi battles against random trainers. You usually have to get through 7 battles in a row to complete a round. The battle tower then evolved into the Battle Frontier in pokemon Emerald. The battle Frontier had Seven battles stations, seven Frontier Brains and seven Frontier Symbols.



But unlike Pokemon Emerald, Pokemon Platinum really let me down here. This time only 5 Battle Stations were made, much smaller area and it doesnt have a Pokemon Centre or even a PokeMart. That was what really let me down the most everything elso was great though.



The Battle Tower

Single, Double and Wi-Fi are the three modes you can choose from at the battle tower. Each of which you have to battle aginst 7 trainers to complete a round. After a few consecutive rounds you face off against Battle Tycoon Palmer, or your rivals father. This classic battle station gets boring after a while, but if you keep at it, its all worth it.


The Battle Arcade

Choose 3 pokemon and youir all setup for the Battle Arcade. Enter and face a roulette. You have several options such us all pokemon burned, all pokemon paralyzed, roulette speed up, roulette speed down and many more. After you pick an option go into battle with a trainer. Once you face 7 trainers, thats the end of the round. Compete in several rounds and face Arcade Star Dahlia. This battle station can get quite fun after a while. I got a lot of enjoyment out of this one!

The Battle Factory

Trade in your pokemon for your choice of pokemon that you would like to rent from the Battle Factory. With your rent pokemon, battle against trainers and make your way up to the battle brain, just like you do in all the other Battle stations. Face off against Factory Head Thorton after a few rounds of battling.


The Battle Castle
With your given CP(castle points) you can heal, peek at your oppenents pokemon, make your oppenents pokemon go down a level and give your pokemon an item. There are many more too! After tampering with your/opponents pokemon/items go into a battle aginst a random trainer. After you win, Darach, the unsuspecting butler will give you CP. After 7 several rounds, face off against...Darach? Yep, thats right, you all thought it was that Woman who was watching your every battle and it looks like she owns the castle but, no, the Brain is actually Battle Valet Darach. Shock Horror Who would have ever thought it was the butler?

The Battle Hall

Choose Single or Double and head in. In this very uniqe battle station, you can actually choose the type of pokemon you wish to face. Example: I have Charizard, i can just choose Grass type forever and easily win. But there is a catch. Every time you choose the same type, its rank will go up, therefore making it harder to defeat. After a few rounds, you get the chance to battle Hall Matron Argenta. Beat her and thats all the Battle Stations Cleared!




Altogher This was a really enjoying place to visit! The only things that really let me down were the lack of Stations, lack of exploring (Emerald even had a tunnel full of smeargle!) and maybe lack of decorations. I still loved this place though!


Remember this was my first review and it might have a few mistakes and it might be a bit different to all the other rewiews.
