Info: Oreburgh Gym is host to your first Gym Battle. Roark is standing on the uppermost platform, ready and willing to take up your challenge. There are two other Pokemon Trainers in the Gym. Roark's team is focused on Rock-type Pokemon. Your best assets in this fight are Water-type, Grass-type, Fighting-type and Ground-type moves. Win and the Coal Badge and TM76 Stealth Rock are yours. The Coal Badge lets you use rock smash outside of battle.

Info: The path inside Eterna Gym is barricaded by water fountains and a huge flower clock. Beat the three other Trainers in the Gym to be able to cross over these obstacles and challenge Gardenia. Gardenia's Pokemon are all Grass-types. Use Fire-type, Ice-type and Flying-type moves. Win, and you receive the Forest Badge and TM86 Grass Knot. The Forest Badge lets you use cut outside of battle and Pokemon up to lv30 received in a trade will obey you.

Info: Light up the darkness in Hearthome Gym while advancing through the door with a symbol matching the one on the floor. In the last room you battle Fantina. There are six other Pokemon Trainers, you fight them if your lights fall on each other. Fantina uses Ghost-type Pokemon. Use Ghost-type and Dark-type moves to deal heavy damage. Win and you get the Relic Badge and TM65 Shadow Claw. The Relic Badge lets you use Defog outside of battle.

Info: To reach Maylene at the back of Veilstone Gym, destroy the obstacles by sliding the sandbags around. There are four other Trainers here. You'll compete best against Maylene's Pokemon if you use Flying-type, Psychic-type, Fire-type and Ground-type moves. Win and you'll get the Cobble Badge and TM60 Drain Punch. The Cobble Badge lets you use fly outside of battle and Pokemon up to lv50 received in a trade will obey you.

Floatzel lv37 - Water (Moves: Brine, Ice Fang, Crunch, Aqua Jet)
Info: Pastoria Gym was built as a water maze in order for you to proceed, you have to adjust the volume of water by pressing on three different buttons. Battle your way through six other Trainers to the back, where you can take on Wake himself. Wake sends out all Water-type Pokemon. Use Grass-type and Electric-type moves and you'll be done in no time. Win and you'll get the Fen Badge and TM55 Brine. The Fen Badge lets you use surf outside of battle.

Steelix lv38 - Steel, Ground (Moves: Earthquake, Flash Cannon, Ice Fang, Sandstorm)
Bastiodon lv41 - Rock, Steel (Moves: Stone Edge, Metal Burst, Iron Defense, Taunt)
Info: The lifts carry you around the floors of Canalave Gym as you make your way to Byron. There are seven other Trainers. Byron attacks with Steel-type Pokemon. You'll be best served by Fire-type, Ground-type and Fighting-type moves. Win and you'll receive the Mine Badge and TM91 Flash Cannon. The Mine Badge lets you use strength outside of battle and Pokemon up to lv70 received in a trade will obey you.

Piloswine lv40 - Ice, Ground (Moves: Earthquake, Avalanche, Stone Edge, Hail)
Abomasnow lv42 - Grass, Ice (Moves: Focus Blast, Avalanche, Wood Hammer, Water Pulse)
Froslass lv44 - Ice, Ghost (Moves: Double Team, Blizzard, Shadow Ball, Psychic)
Info: Make your way to Candice by sliding down from the upper levels to the lower levels, breaking apart the ice spheres you fall on. There are six other Trainers here. Use a combination of Fire-type and Fighting-type moves and you should have success. Win and you get the Icicle Badge and TM72 Avalanche. The Icicle Badge lets you use rock climb outside of battle.

Info: Press a button inside the Gym to connect a route and try to find Volkner. There are eight other Trainers inside, too. Volkner's crew is made up entirely of Electric-type Pokemon. Use Ground-type moves and you'll ground Volkner out. Win and you get the Beacon Badge and TM57 Charge Beam. The Beacon Badge lets you use waterfall outside of battle and all Pokemon received in a trade will obey you.

Hippowdon can be taken out by Grass-type, Water-type or Ice-type moves. Use moves like Solar Beam, Ice Beam and Surf for the upper hand in this battle

Info: Lucian's team might be loaded with Psychic-types, but they all have different weaknesses. Use Bug-type, Ghost-type and Dark-type moves against Mr.Mime, Espeon and Alakazam. Hit Gallade with Flying-type and Ghost-type moves, while taking down Bronzong with Fire-type moves. For a sure victory, bring in Pokemon that know the moves Flamethrower and Shadow Ball.

Info: Cynthia's Spiritomb has no type weakness, so just hit it with moves that have high attack power to deal out heavy damage. Handle Togekiss with Electric-type, Ice-type or Rock-type moves, use Fire-type, Fighting-type and Ground-type moves on Lucario and use Ice-type moves on Garchomp and Roserade. Finally, hit Milotic with Grass-type and Electric-type moves for a big finish.
