For all you ASCII-loving, hack-and-slashing, dungeon-crawling old-school gamers, Stuart Pernsteiner has ported NetHack to the DS. It runs perfectly on my R4 after patching, but be sure to read his webpage for tips on getting it to run properly on a DS Lite.

Back in late January, 2007, a game was released in Japan called Hiite Utaeru DS Guitar M-06. It was a guitar simulation where you used the face buttons of a DS to control the frets of a guitar while strumming with your stylus. YouTube videos of DS musicians proliferated.
