For all you ASCII-loving, hack-and-slashing, dungeon-crawling old-school gamers, Stuart Pernsteiner has ported NetHack to the DS. It runs perfectly on my R4 after patching, but be sure to read his webpage for tips on getting it to run properly on a DS Lite.

Don't know what NetHack is? It's a game with no graphics and no sound, but it's unanimously hailed by serious gamers as the deepest, most complex RPG in existence, often imitated but never equalled. Just ask Salon.
