Yes the DS can keep up with 64 Graphics but it cannot emulate 64 graphics seeing as to emulate something you need to have hardware of roughly 6 times the thing you are emulating

but it's still different to N64!! On DS the graphics are more pixelised where as on the N64 version they were more smooth. Thats why they made the cel shaded Zelda for DS because its easier and make it looks like it has good graphics.

SM64 DS looks much better on the DS than on the N64. The reason for the pixelization is because the N64 had some texture filtering crap while the DS doesn't. The DS is definitely equal to if not more powerful than the N64, too bad the games don't show this off as well.
