Yeah my Acekard 2 arrived in the mail today and so far I've only found a small topic on the official forums containing skins and was wondering if there are any/many places yet that have AK2 skins.

I have the same problem as well. there are only a handful of skins available on the AK2 forum. I guess there are just not as many skins for Acekard compared to R4. Also bear in mind that its a relatively new card so it might takes time before more skins pop up.

the edge/cyclo are best bets for cards, and great with skins as they both use the same skins... if skinning is/was that important to you, the R4 has the most skins only because it has been around for such a long time...

but anywho, good luck with your acekards...

It may seem to have a cheap design but I think that was their plan for the AK2, the original Acekard RPG cost a lot(which was it's downfall) so they attempted to make a cheaper one via cheaper design. It seems to have plenty of features, more than enough. I can easily see it as a good competitor to the Cyclo in the near future.

Back on topic though, I'll look into the RPG skins and see if they work on the AK2 myself. Thanks.

so you have tried both the cyclo and the edge? and you like the interface of the acekard better? interesting... to each their own i guess... lately there are ALOT of cards coming out and flooding the market for whatever reason... most are not even worthy of review... and most will not be around for too long seeing how the current state of the market is... people want quality, and usability... i say this because this is what i want as well... and i have found the gold i seek... hope the acekard has a future for ya, and as long as you handle it with care (dont sneeze on it or look at it funny or it may break) it might just last you a little while...

I am holding an AceKard 2 in my hands right now and it seems pretty sturdy. I don't know why you dislike it so much, it seems perfectly fine to me. I cant ever see it breaking unless someone stamped on it or purposefully snapped it. You don't even have to take it out of the DS anyways, you can just push on the micro sd and it pops out like a charm. The functionality(usability) I have had out of it has been really good too and the skins look pretty nice. Everything has worked according to plan including Moonshell, DSorganise and the SNES emulator I haven't tried any other card yet but I'm perfectly happy with my AceKard 2 and I'm not going to replace it.
