Don't believe the pictures, the blue is a very shiny metal looking blue, almost like aluminium, it rocks.

One thing that is different though is the back of the DS is matt and doesn't feel shiny, it feels like the inside. It's good though you won't drop the ds if you have slippery hands.

Don't get a clear white one cause it makes your cobalt or crimson look like crap (in my opinion).

It does change the feeling of the backplate though, from the gritty matte feel to shiny polycarb feel, if that matters to you.
