The Nintendo DS itself has made a true revolution,Bringing in something that no other company thought of doing. Brought it simple but very fun games and chucked in something that was sure to bring facination to everyones faces when they saw it.The console had 2 screens. The console was released On Febuary 24th,2005.Many people showed up to buy there console on this day as it was truely something to be happy about. Also,On January 26th 2006 something amazing happened.The ds lite was created and it was something that was alot slimmer and had more settings then the original ds. Top Screen:The Top Screen was used to do things that the bottom screen was'nt meant to do like show your chracter moving around or show you as you move around in your kart. The screen could produce very good graphics and was liked by alot of people. The Top Screen was the one most looked at by gamers.The top screen was still something to be amazed by as the graphics where great to show up you doing something very wacky on the game. Speakers:The speakers can produce some of the best sound you can get out of a handheld console.You dont see much sound quality like this and you can also get official nintendo heaphones to make the sound even better. Bottom Screen:The bottom screen is also known as something called the touch screen which will allow you to interfere with different elements of the game that are selected.Some of these are like moving a character around,Sorting out pokemon and lots of other weird things nintendo has come up with for you to do. Gamers when the console was first released were crazy for this feature but it ended up not being very good at all.Using the control pad was still a better option. Nintendo DS Features: -Nintendo WIFI connection:This about one of the best things about the Nintendo DS,Playing with some of your best friends online to become the very best of the world.On some games such as pokemon you will select the 6 pokemon you wish and then go into a certain room.From there you will only see people that you have added there Friend Code.Not having there friend code you will not be able to see them.You may be able to also even talk to these people. -Download Play:This is also a good feature where you might be able to go to a HotSpot and download a demo of a game.Also in some games such as Nintendogs and Animal Crossing you will be able to get special items by visiting a hotspot. You will be able to vs your friends close range with just 1 game card and be able to have up to 4 people playing off the 1 card. -Compatability:You will be able to play your very old GBA games on the ds because of a 2nd slot added to the console.This is just called Slot 2 and it will allow you to insert your old games in there and then play them.You may NOT be able to play your old gameboy colour games as they do not fit. Nintendo DS accesories: -Nintendo WIFI USB connector:This is something that you must have if you are a die hard gamer or you would just like to play your friends while your sitting at home on a nice Saturday Night. This USB connector will allow you to be able to be playing with some of your best friends over the internet! Available from all good game shops -Rumble Pak:This is something that is very handy to have if you enjoy the old rumble of playing something like when you get shot while playing metroid prime pinball or hunters. This is available from all good gaming shops and off online retailers. -Nintendo DS Headset:This is the official nintendo headset and will allow to be plugged into the bottom of the Nintendo DS system.The headset will have one ear peice and a microphone exert which will be easier to talk to people over wifi on the games Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Available from all good game shops. Overall:The ds is one of the best handheld consoles to this date and i find that everyone should own one of them.They will set you back around $180 but it is all worth it. Thanks, BENNYBOY!
