Pokemon Diamond Review - 9/10

The answer to that question is YES!! Of course they could!

A world full of new Pokemon and more awesome adventures...


Welcome to the Region of Sinnoh!
Yes, another Pokemon game but don't worry, you'll never, EVER want to put this one down.(Maybe for a toilet break) The game starts you off as a Boy in the region of Sinnoh who has to embark on a quest to record data about Pokemon for Professor Rowan. You and your best friend go to the nearby lake to try and capture the rare red gyarados when suddenly a wild pokeon attacks you! You use your quick thinking and take a pokeball from a Proffesor Rowans briefcase which he left behind.

There are 2 MAIN goals in this game:

- Win the Pokemon League Champoinship in the Sinnoh Region
- Find all 493 Pokemon and complete your Pokedex.

This game is one of the longest games in history to complete so you can guarantee that it will keep you occupied. Battle tough trainers who are just waiting for batlles, foil Team Galactics evil plan, have fun on the Slot Machines, create the Ultimate Pokemon party to be the Best trainer there ever was.

I recommend that if you still own your GBA POkemon games don't trade them in!! You will need this to complete your "Poke'dex". The main differences from the GBA versions is the newly updated sprites and in game menus in the battle scenes which makes attacking that damn Bidoof a breeze! With big thumb friendly battle buttons you never have to touch the D-PAd again.(unless you want too) The actual look and feel of the world is so much richer and beter than its GBA predecessors. 3d Building that have that pop-up look and the Real Time Clock feature which was first introduced in the Gold, SIlver and Crystal version on GBC which makes some pokemon appear at different times of the day.


The all new Pokemon Watch or "Poketch" for short is a little watch full of fun little applications that may help you on your journey. Some of them include:
- Step Counter
- Calculator
- Digital AND Analogue Watch
- Dowsing Machine (Itemfinder)
- Day Care Checker

All up about 25 Poketch applications. Most of them you will use, some are just a complete waste of time.



So you've been around thw whole world of Sinnoh and think you've seen everything? Well guess again, introducing the Sinnoh Underground!

This all new feature to the pokemon games is the Sinnoh Undergorund. Roam around meeting people close by via wireless, mine for treasure, make secret bases, set traps, buy furniture and even play capture the flag! Yes thats right Capture The Flag!The more flags you collect the more rocks you can remove out of your secret base for more furniture.


Contests are also back and as grand as ever! Featuring an all new way to win the contest. First the appearance contest where you dress up your pokemon, then the dance round where you make up a dance for the others to follow and finally the acting round which everyone should be familiar with.



Now the moment we've all been waiting for since the dawn of time...
WI-FI TRADING AND BATTLING OVER THE INTERNET!
Yes, you need friend codes but who cares? Go to a forums and get rare pokemon!(keep a look out for rare *shiny* pokemon!)


The all new wi-fi trading and battling would be o ne of the best features to ever hit a Pokemon game. Its as simple as gettin each others friend code and just going on the WFC at the same time! You can even voice chat using the DS Mic. while trading and battling!(now you tell me thats not cool!) Or for those people who want to get pokemon but don't want a friend code, the GTS is for you. The Global tade Station lets you put up a pokemon for trade in exchange for the pokemon you want. Choose the Pokemon, gender and level and thats it. Just leave it there and check back regularly to see if you have a brand new pokeon waiting for you there! But be careful, you may meet with hackers in the game so make sure your certain of who your trading with and make sure the pokemon are good before trading.

SUMMARY




All Up Pokemon Diamond is a outstanding game with a great adventure! If your a poke fan or just looking into pokemon, go no further. Definetly one of the best games on DS out so far.

Gameplay: 10/10 With all that stuff to keep you entertained, you can't go wrong.

Sound: 8/10 Like it or Lump it its here to stay. The music gives you a pleasant feel in the background. I enjoy it.


Graphics: 6/10 Not very impressed with Graphics because the DS is a system that can achive much more than a N64 but still no 3D aspects to the pokemon in battle. But the updated sprites are much better and visual effects have improved.

Presentation: A neat little world perfectly fit in the DS. Good visuals and nice use of colour. If it's snowing, raining or just a sunny day, its looks great.
