Is Nintendo planning a new DS so quickly?

An article, which is about Nintendo having it's stock market value increased, suggests that Nintendo is likely to have a new version of the popular Nintendo DS in 2010, only a year after releasing the Nintendo DSi.

"Nintendo is likely to launch a new version of its popular handheld game player, the DS, in 2010, shoring up its profits, Citigroup Global Markets analyst Soichiro Fukuda said in a note to clients.

This may just be incorrect, or perhaps Nintendo is ready to release a new DS so quickly.

Personally; I just bought a Nintendo DSi in July and would be angry if Nintendo releases a new DS.

Nintendo may have already come up with new ideas for a DS, like video recording (just like the new iPod Nano), or Skype support (like the PSP Go!). Or maybe Nintendo wants to add flash support for a browser?

Or perhaps this news is simply incorrect. This will probably anger many fans after just spending $300 on the DSi. We can only wait and see.

Couple of things, you don't need to put by Fawhad at the start, it has it at the bottom...Also, they started planning the DSi almost immediately after the DSL...And if they wanted to have a flash browser etc. they could have a system update with it, or make a new dsi shop app with flash...
