Activision Blizzard, one of the gaming industry's biggest publishers, expects both retail and digital gaming sales to rise by 8% in the US and Europe in 2010 - a year they expect to be more competitive.
They expect the Wii to continue to top the charts and the Xbox 360 to hang on to second position; however, they do believe the PS3 will close the gap. Surprisingly, they expect handhelds to do better than all 3, according the the nifty little chart above. The 18 million + increase does, however, refer to the DS and PSP, and possibly the iPhone, rather than just one console.
