1. Yes. My school still using 6 year old Macs

wow thats bad i'll have to avoid the virus but i can allways purchase a 3 year warenty hehe.
Six years wow we had macs for 2 months then they all got invaded with virus so they were replaced with Lenevo computers instaslled with windows xp after vista came out by a couple of months and the macs at my school were cool but they crashed all the time. But a macbook sounds awsome really i wanna be the first in my whole family to get it and brag about it.

Nup. chances are you won't even get a virus just due to the low threat level out there but if on the off chance it does, its the same deal as a PC, depends on what the virus is designed to do

Same with a Mac, look after the hardware and it'll last. I have an old mac I stil use and it runs great. Apple has this way of marketing like you need the latest model of for example, a mac book pro, but in reality they will just keep on doing their thing for years to come


3: Does it have programs like windows movie maker, power point etc.

Yep, all Macs ship with iLife, which is movie editing, dvd creation, photo management and editing, web page creation and music creation. You can also get Microsoft Office for mac, but you can also get iWork which has Pages(word) Keynote (powerpoint) and Numbers (excel) which for the most part is 100% cross compatible with Microsoft Office and will produce nicer looking documents than Office could in its dreams

Yep but the graphics won't be the prettiest thing ever, apparently you can get Half Life 2 to run on the EEEPC on one level or another, haven't tried it yet though

But if you get a virus on a OSX, then you don't deserve to use a computer.

Also there's almost a 0% chance that you'll get spyware on an OSX simply because it doesn't have a registry. They have preference files that keep individual settings of a program. If it gets corrupted, just trash the preference file and the program goes back to normal.

EDIT: Oh, but back on topic. If you're going to use it for work and Internet, it's good. Forget games.
