The only gates I know of in the game are the gates to your town. You can't go through them unless you are going to visit another town...either locally or via wifi.

Buy as many white turnips as you can afford. Save them buy keeping them on tables (drop your fishing rod/axe) on the floor in front of the table..stand on it then drop your turnip. The turnip will land on the table and won't spoil. Hold on to your turnips until you get a good price for them at Nooks. I hold on to them until I get AT LEAST $400 bells (this can take months btw)

The only other way to make good money is by selling non native fruit at Nooks. If you fill your pockets with non native fruit you'll get $7500 each trip.

This is the BEST way to earn money in ACWW. Do you know how to get the non native fruit without wifing with a friend?

Joan will wander around your town tomorrow morning.

To get non native fruit, send a pear to every person in your town (attach it to a letter) and put something like "I want you to have this fruit" in the letter. Keep doing it every day and eventually you'll receive the other fruits (cherry, orange, peach, apple) in your mailbox as gifts from the towns people. Coconuts will also wash up on your beach from time to time. Bury those *just* off the sand and they'll grow into palm trees.

Yep..get the axe from Nooks and you can chop the trees down. The axe will break eventually though so keep a few spare in your house for when you need them.

I have no idea what items I need at the moment. LOL! I'll let you know. I can't let anyone into my town at the moment because i've got a perfect town going on and I need to keep things as they are so I can get the gold watering can.

Yeah I love this game a lot.

I've had it since Feb/March and i've been playing it ever since. I've paid off my house and land, got Nookingtons, finished the fossils section of my museum.

To get the golden can, you need to keep your town in perfect status for 16 days straight. Plant more trees in your town (don't clump them all together, spread them out) and plant TONS of flowers. Keep asking about the environment at the town hall and they'll say something like "Wouldn't it be nice if the town stayed like this forever". When they say that, you know you have reached perfect status and you'll need to keep it that way as I mentioned.
