Animal Crossing: Wide World Review - 8/10
Animal Crossing: Wild World is a fun and interactive game, very similar to Sims. The Animal Crossing Franchise has also been sold on Nintendo Gamecube and is set to be released on the Nintendo Wii.
Story:
On the game you play as a little human who has just moved to a new town. At first you must work and doing many jobs for Nook in order to pay off your house. These jobs include gardening, delivering letters and going around meeting all the town residents. After you have done all the little jobs you require, YOU ARE FREE!!! You can go fishing, catch bugs, collect and sell fruit, make friends with residents, buy furniture to decorate your house with, design clothes and heaps more.
Nooks Shop:
Nook is the owner of the shop. As you progress through the game the shop will upgrade into bigger and better models. This means two story buildings and more stuff for you to purchase. Some of the items available for sale are different sorts of furniture for you house, tools, flowers and plants.
The Coffee Shop:
The Coffee Shop is run by a pigeon. Obviously you can buy a coffee from here. The more that you visit the coffee shop and make friends with the owner, the more advanced and tastier the coffee gets. Also if you jump down to the Coffee Shop and 7:00pm, you may just run into KK.Slider who will play you a tune and give you a CD for your CD Player at home.
Museum:
The museum is run by a very sleepy owl. He is the one who you show your fossils, paintings, bugs and fish. After he has a look at them he will put then in the gallery. That way you can view them. Also if you do Wi-Fi, your friends can also go have a look at them.
Mable Sisters:
Mable Sisters is a materials and clothes shop run by the Mable Sisters. Here you can buy clothes, make your own clothes and get an umbrella for them horrible rainy days. Talk to Able the one on the sewing machine. At first she won’t talk to you very much. But if you keep talking to her on a regular basis, you will become good friends with her.
Town Hall:
The Town Hall is run by friendly Pelly and her not so friendly sister. This is where you come to pay off your rent, put and take out money from your back account, post letters, give money to charity and more. You can also Put all your unwanted items in the Recycling Bin.
Wi-Fi:
If you have a Wi-Fi Connection with you Nintendo DS, you can also play this game online with your friends. In Wi-Fi, you can either go into a friends town or invite them into your town. While your visiting each other’s towns, you can have fishing competitions, bug catching competitions and they can have a look in your museum and look at your lovely decorated house. All you need to do is go to the Gate and see Booker and Copper for a Friend Code.
Overall Animal Crossing DS is a great game, especially for children. One of the only bad thing about it is the stylus controlling. It can be quite difficult controlling your character with the stylus. I recommend this game if you enjoyed the Gamecube Version of this game as they are very very similar.
